watching this video is reminding me of all the times I'd walk around my family's farm in the Philippines and accidentally step on the cowdung that was just laying around the road... The most annoying part was always my slippers getting stuck inside because of how sticky it was, but thinking back to it, I never really registered it as dirty. It was just as annoying as getting your shoe stuck in the mud and it never smelled as bad as dog poop for example.

So i think i big part of the difference is the health of the cattle. Corn is used in most cow feed in the United States and it's not the best for a cows digestive system. Because of this their bacteria in their gut can get out of balance and the bad ones that make you sick can win

4:07 no it frustrates me too. Why is that what makes Africa so great? A lifestyle that’s not only, not the healthiest, but also not accessible to many. It’s very colonial to the point where some people are offended when other African lifestyles are represented. Are we so insecure?

what I don't get is this: there is a movement of people 'going off grid' or 'living a minimalist lifestyle' etc. It is packaged differently than living 'traditionally' but actually there are many similarities...why the hell is one considered poor and the other not? the way a person chooses to live also does not say much about the job or education they have. some people live way above their means, some choose carefully what and how they buy stuff. so don't listen to narrowminded fools, do what makes you happy!

for dishwashing here in canada, i even do handwash all of my pots and pans and some of my cups because washing by hand is usually better for the dish and helps them last longer
